For as long as any have known, the lands around the Northwood has owed a tithe of blood to the wicked Night Queen. This dark offering has always been collected on Midwinter Eve every year for centuries by her horrific spawn, a black beast of thorns, teeth, and soot known as Cinderclaws.
But this year, everything feels wrong. The winter snows have not come. The skies are heavy with black clouds. Roads are thick with mud, and the air smells of sulfur and death.
And no one has seen any sign of Cinderclaws anywhere.
To save the Holiday and the World, first you must save a dark monster who many think is only a myth..
