The Kingdom Of Ruins To Receive Anime Adaptation


Popular manga series Kingdom of Ruins is set to enter the world of animation.


2023 just keeps getting better with the onslaught of anime series set to be released this year, including Undead Unlock, Solo Leveling, and Mashle. Kingdom of Ruins has joined the fray as the official Twitter account of Comic Garden magazine announced the long-awaited anime adaptation of the manga. The anime is now in development and is slated for a 2023 release.


Aside from the announcement of the anime adaptation, the main cast, staff, and key visuals of the anime series were also revealed. Kaito Ishikawa will be leading the ensemble cast with his portrayal of main antagonist Adonis. Azumi Waki is also confirmed to be the voice behind Doroka. Takamitsu Kono will handle the series composition of Kingdom of Ruins while Hiromi Kato will be in charge of the character design. Music will be handled by Miki Sakurai, Shu Kanematsu, and Hanae Nakamura.

The said animation studio has previously worked on Jujutsu Kaisen. The company also had a helping hand in the production of the anime adaptation of the popular video game Legend of Mana.

Kingdom of Ruins tells the tale of a witch apprentice named Adonis who had to watch his beloved mentor, Ice Witch Chloe Morgan, die. The series is set during the time when the nation was still in fear of witches, so the people in the kingdom have made it their mission to eliminate all the witches in the nation. After the passing of Ice Witch Chloe, Adonis vowed to avenge the death of his mentor. His continuous journey to seek revenge on humanity will unfold a thrilling battle between science and witchcraft.

Kingdom of Ruins is a manga written and illustrated by yoruhashi and was serialized through Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden magazine in April 2019.
