Tina Turner has one of the most iconic voices in music. She had her breakthrough with her former husband Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm group, which she joined in 1958, before gaining prominence as a solo singer in the 1970s. Her solo debut album ‘Tina Turns the Country On!’ was released in 1974.
She went on to release many other solo albums throughout the years with major hit songs, including her most famous ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’ off of her fifth album ‘Private Dancer’ in 1984.
Her major impact in the music industry led her to winning multiple prestigious awards, including 12 Grammy Awards, which includes a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as an impressive ranking of the 17th greatest singer of all time on ‘Rolling Stone’s 100 greatest singers list.
