Reign of Terror Social Deduction Game Up On Kickstarter

December 08, 2022 by Polar_Bear

The Reign of Terror. It was one of the darkest times in France’s history. People were losing their heads all around as loyalties suddenly became liabilities when one group would suddenly seize control. Can you keep ahead of the guillotine and keep your head about you? That’s up to you to find out in Reign of Terror, a social deduction game that’s up on Kickstarter now.

From the campaign:

Lie, deceive, uncover conspiracy, and feed your friends to the insatiable guillotine in Reign of Terror: a game in the Mafia/Werewolf family which draws on the real events and personalities of the French Revolution.

As the provinces flare into insurrection and hostile armies threaten Paris itself, the city begins to spiral into paranoia and fear. Conspiracies and betrayal are suspected in every corner. Political factions struggle for control of the Convention, while in the streets journalists and demagogues rile up the bloodthirsty masses. The revolution stands poised at its moment of greatest crisis. Can France still be saved? Or will the revolution devour itself in an escalating whirlwind of denunciations and terror?

The campaign’s about halfway to its goal with 8 days left to go.
