Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will be released in July of 2023, according to the series’ panel at Jump Festa 2023. The Jump Festa 2023 event was attended by Junya Enoki (voice actor for Yuji Itadori), Yuichi Nakamura (voice actor for Satoru Gojo), and Yuichi Nakamura (voice actor for Mahito). Takahiro Sakurai (voice actor for Suguro Geto) didn’t attend the event, as confirmed a few days back. While the news regarding the release month for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 certainly hyped fans up, the event also hinted at the closure of the series in nearly one year.

A written statement by Gege Akutami brought up in the event read, “If you accompany me for up to one more year (probably), I will be very happy.” The same thing was brought up in an interview in February 2021, where he hinted that the story would likely come to a conclusion in two years. That said, we are yet to get confirmed news regarding the series finale.

A new promotional video was also released at the event, which revealed the designs for the key characters playing a part in the upcoming season. The featured characters in the PV were Satoru Gojo, Toji Fushiguro, Riko Amanai, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Leiri. This will be the first debut of Toji Fushiguro and Riko Amanai in the anime adaptation of the series. While we have the character design for the two, we are yet to hear about their voice actors.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was greenlit back in February this year by MAPPA. Then, in September, the studio confirmed that the upcoming season would run in two cours, which means the episode count would be approximately 24 to 26 episodes. And if the new episodes follow a weekly release schedule, then get ready to enjoy your favorite anime for around six months. It was also confirmed at that time that the first arc would adapt the Hidden Inventory Arc while the second one would adapt Shibuya Incident Arc. Both arcs play a crucial role in developing the story of the series.
