Here come the robot trophies!

The much-anticipated 2023 GeekWire Awards — presented by Astound Business Solutions for the 10th year — are returning May 18 to celebrate the top innovators, entrepreneurs and technology leaders in the Pacific Northwest.

Community nominations are now open across more than a dozen hotly contested categories, including Startup of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Workplace of the Year, Next Tech Titan and many more.

We’re once again staging the entertaining evening in person at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo, where attendees will enjoy a seated dinner, entertainment, fun surprises and, of course, the coveted trophies. For those who can’t be there, we’ll also livestream the proceedings on the GeekWire website and you can secure a free virtual ticket on the registration site.

As we kick off the multi-month process of selecting the very best of the innovation ecosystem in the Pacific Northwest, here are some key details:

  • Nominations: Community nominations are open and will run until March 3. After that, we’ll open things up to community voting, so be sure to get your nominees in for STEM Educator of the Year, UX Design of the Year, Big Tech CEO of the Year and more. (And yes, self nominations are OK). Submit your hopefuls here.
  • Table sponsorships: The Awards will again be a sit-down dinner for finalists, sponsors and members. We have a limited number of half-table (four people) and full-table (eight people) sponsorships available. More details on table sponsorships at the GeekWire Awards event site, or you can also reach us at [email protected] to learn more and book your spot.*
  • Member access: Cosmic and Galactic members will receive one free pass to the Awards, which includes access to the pre-Awards finalists’ reception and a seat for the dinner and ceremony. Astro and Lunar geeks will receive a discount code for the dinner. If interested in joining GeekWire’s membership program — supporting journalism and gaining access to cool events and other perks — visit our membership page here.

Big shoutout to our longtime title sponsor, Astound Business Solutions, as well as additional sponsors, including: Wilson Sonsini; JLL; TalentReach; Blink UX; BECU; Meridian Capital; and WTIA. Email us to discuss opportunities for your company or organization to join the list: [email protected]

Stay tuned for more updates on the Awards, and thanks again to all of our amazing sponsors, members and readers for supporting GeekWire.

* Note: We plan to open up individual tickets for the GeekWire Awards later this spring based on capacity levels.
