Destiny 2’s Guardian Games Event Reportedly Set For April 2023 Launch

Destiny 2 Guardian Games will launch in April 2023, according to sources at Insider-Gaming. The event will supposedly arrive halfway through Destiny 2 Season 20 on April 18, to be exact.

The Guardian Games is a special event that lasts around three weeks, where players compete to see which Guardian class comes out on top. Not only will the winning team have bragging rights, but they will also bag a commemorative statue on display in the Tower for 12 months.

Previously the Guardian Games tasked players with earning medallions to turn them into your class’ podium in the centre of the Tower. Medals include Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Right now it’s unclear if this year’s event will adhere to the same pattern as previous Guardian Games, but Bungie is sure to share more info soon enough.

Elsewhere, Insider-Gaming claims that Destiny 2 Season 21 will kick off the following month on May 23, 2023.

Destiny 2 was released in September 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC version following a month later. There’s been no Destiny 3 during that time, with Bungie instead choosing to continue supporting Destiny 2 with robust post-launch content.

You can read our review of Destiny 2 here, but keep in mind it’s based on the vanilla launch version. A lot has changed since then, and for the better!
