World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has managed to bring back the fun to a game whose community was rapidly dwindling. Not only the expansion adds the new Dracthyr Evoker to the game, but also an exciting new chapter in the story of Azeroth, with several new zones to explore, a myriad of quests to complete, and enemies to defeat in dungeons and raids. Dragonflight has been received with great excitement and it’s already considered by many as the best World of Warcraft expansion in recent years. Elements like the new crafting system, dragonriding, and the rework of the talent trees contribute to delivering an experience that feels refreshing and engaging.
The key to preventing players from getting bored after the initial level grind is releasing additional content. Therefore, the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight roadmap for next year has been revealed, and it includes plenty of updates for the game.
Blizzard details the upcoming novelties in a lengthy post where it reveals that there are six content patches coming throughout 2023. Two of them will be major updates with new zones, raids, and seasonal rewards, as well as new chapters of the Dragonflight storyline. The first update will arrive in early 2023 and it will feature the Trading Post system, new customization options for all players, and additional content for the main Primalist Tomorrow area. After that, the contents of the next update will become available on the test server, including new repeatable content and more. The first major update should arrive at some point before the summer with plenty of content and a new PvP season.
Knowing what lies ahead should be reassuring for those World of Warcraft players still doubtful about getting the Dragonflight expansion.
