Bandai Namco Working on a 3D Action Title for Nintendo

Bandai Namco is a known publisher and developer for a variety of titles, but it seems that they could be working on a Nintendo Switch exclusive title as a new job listing on the company website indicates hiring for a project that was commissioned by Nintendo. What the title is and when we can expect to see it is still the million Yen question.

Bandai Namco and Nintendo exclusive title in the works?

Bandai Namco has a relatively sizeable library of games on the Nintendo Switch, but it seems that this time Nintendo is the one looking to leverage the developer talents of the company as a new job listing could indicate a Nintendo Switch exclusive title could be under development from the company.

The job listing in question

It’s worth mentioning that the most popular title in Bandai Namco’s roster for Nintendo is the 2018 title, Super Smash Bros Ultimate which was developed with the help of Sora Ltd. as well. Many fans are speculating that this could be a return of that partnership yet again as enough time has passed since the release of the title that no new content is being made for the title for a while.

While this is only speculative on our part, there is also room for Nintendo to assign a new IP to Bandai Namco which is also a possibility that others are bringing up. Whatever the situation is, another looming question is whether this could also be a hint at the Nintendo Switch successor, as a rumor yesterday indicated that Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom could be the last first-party exclusive for the console.

While we will have to wait and see what becomes of this partnership, we would like to hear from our readers on what they think this rumored title could possibly be. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
