Arkahna welcomes Gavin Wall as Chief Strategy Officer

Specialist cloud-native services startup Arkahna has announced the appointment of Gavin Wall as their new Chief Strategy Officer.

A seasoned industry expert with a nine-year tenure at Microsoft, where he was Director of Engineering for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Gavin brings deep Azure knowledge and customer-driven engineering experience to his new role, said Joshua Boys, CEO of Arkahna.

Gavin’s customer focus and technical excellence make him a valuable addition to Arkahna, I have worked closely with Gavin before, I know what he is capable of and what that means for our customers and partners. It is very exciting to have him join our team.

Over the last four years, Gavin has been driving the strategy, capability, and investments for Azure expansion and growth in the ANZ market. His notable achievements include the expansion of the Australia East Azure region and the addition of Availability Zones in 2020, the upcoming expansion of the Australia Southeast region, and the planned launch of the New Zealand North region.

Arkahna has introduced a new way of working to the market in Australia, focusing on productising professional and managed services while bringing discrete SaaS products to market to meet specific customer needs.

Arkahna has assembled an impressive team of talent, which I am thrilled to be joining as their Chief Strategy Officer. This opportunity allows me to make an immediate impact on the industry, compared to my recent strategic work, which due to its scale often took years to materialize. I would like to express my gratitude to Microsoft for the opportunities they provided me throughout my tenure; it has provided me with a unique range of knowledge and experience that I am excited to bring to Arkahna and share with our customers and partners.
